My Experience Taking The CompTIA Linux+ Course
Hey there!
This week I’ll be sharing my experience on learning about networking, but first let me tell you, this was a challenging and complex experience for me. A lot of time and effort is required to understand the various concepts involved. I spent countless nights studying networking concepts and trying to wrap my head around complicated technical terms and figuring out commands. It was mentally taxing and time-consuming, especially because I was juggling work and study, leaving me very little to no room for personal life and “me time.” I struggled with some of the labs despite having instructions and following them to a “T” or so I thought. I repeated a particular lab for 24hrs before I finally realized what I did wrong. You won’t believe a “.” was the reason why! I felt so silly but I was glad when I finished the course because I could finally breath and I learned a lot.
This particular course has been the most challenging for me so far, there were times when I felt really overwhelmed and stressed out, wondering how I was going to balance studying with work. However, I soon realized that finding a balance between work, study, and personal life is crucial for success. One of the most critical factors in finding a balance is time management. Creating a schedule that allows for study time, work commitments, and personal activities is key to staying organized and on track. This could involve prioritizing tasks, setting realistic goals, and avoiding distractions during study time. Additionally, it’s important to take breaks and rest when needed. Studying and working non-stop can lead to burnout and decrease productivity. Taking some time for yourself to relax and engage in activities you enjoy can help you recharge and be more effective in your studies and work. Doing these things have helped me a lot, though I came to the realization quite late but I definitely know better now thanks to firsthand experience.
With proper time management, prioritization, and self-care, it’s possible to achieve your goals and thrive in both your personal and professional life. I am still a work in progress and hope to get a hang of it all soon. Overall, these past few months of constant learning has been quite challenging but nothing good comes easy so I’m taking it like a big girl 😁 😎
Until next time, find me where the good guys are!
